Foundations
AIG draws on decades of industry experience in Western Australia.
Founder Neville Stewart, a proud Pinikura man of the PKKP language group, has worked across freight, logistics, equipment hire and civil earthworks for nearly three decades. During that time, he established and led Aboriginal businesses and contributed to increased Indigenous participation within the mining sector.
In 2012, Australian Indigenous Group was established as a new civil and earthworks contractor, building on that experience with its own structure and direction.
Under the leadership of Eva Stewart and Jason Chong, AIG has grown into a structured and capable contractor supporting major mining operations across Western Australia.
The foundation remains important. The focus stays on delivery, performance and long term workforce development.
